The laser is a non-invasive modality that can be use as part of a treatment protocol to delay the need for or prevent surgery. The laser is used three times a week for five weeks along with range of motion, ultrasound and other activities given to you by your therapist. At the end of treatment, an evaluation will be performed to test your sensation, edema, pain and the use of your hands. The goal of treatment is to allow you to regain the function of your hands and return to the activities that are important to you.
